3 Marathons in 2 Days Challenge Belleek Ballina

The third annual 3 Marathons in 2 Days Challenge organised in conjunction with Ballina Athletic Club takes place this year on 25th and 26th February 2017.

Every year, this great event gathers runners from across the country. There is a choice of half marathon, full marathon and 53km ultra marathon, and you can take part in one race, two or for the brave, all three! As in previous years, Race HQ will be at the Ballina Town soccer club at Belleek (map below).

The event schedule is as follows:

Day 1 – Saturday 25th Feb: Marathon  7am and  3pm

Day 2 – Sunday 26th Feb (International Marathon Day) -Full marathon and ultramarathon at 8am, half marathon at 9am.

So there are three events, three different courses with three different medals but all in one place – beautiful Ballin, and the routes take you through beautiful, scenic Belleek Woods. There is a great running community in Ballina, so you’ll be in good hands.

Two  of the beautiful event medals have a local theme on the reverse (the Knox-Gore monument in Belleek Woods, and Belleek Gate).
