Fourth annual 3 Marathons in 2 Days Challenge takes place in Ballina

3 Marathons in 2 Days Challenge Balliina February 2018 Endurance Challenge Marathon Half Marathon Ultramarathon

The fourth annual 3 Marathons in 2 Days Challenge organised in conjunction with Ballina Athletic Club takes place this year on 24th and 25th February 2018.

Every year, this great event gathers runners from across the country. There is a choice of half marathon, full marathon and 53km ultra marathon, and you can either take part in one race, two or for the brave, all three! As in previous years, Race HQ will be at the Ballina Town soccer club at Belleek (map below).

The 3 Marathons in 2 Days Challenge schedule is as follows:

Day 1 – Saturday 24th February

Morning: Full Marathon start at 7am; half Marathon start at 9am

Afternoon: Full and Half Marathon start at 3pm

Day 2 – Sunday 25th February 

Three distances to choose from

Morning: Full Marathon and ultramarathon at 8am; half Marathon at 9am.

So there are three events, three different courses with three different medals but all in one place – beautiful Ballina, and the routes take you through beautiful, scenic Belleek Woods close to the beautiful River Moy. There is a great running community in Ballina, so you’ll be in good hands.
