Ballina will be the place to be tomorrow (Dec 18th) for Christmas spirit galore and fun and festive events for all the family. The winter wonderland of the Mistletoe Market will open in the Market Square at 2pm with the official opening taking place at 6pm by Bishop John Fleming and the brass band.
A Christmas feast for all the senses, the foodie extravaganza will open from 6pm-9pm where visitors will have a chance to experience all the flavours of Christmas from pudding to mulled wine and a variety of seasonal treats.
The fun continues as the annual Grinch Hunt will take place in the Market Sq at 7pm, where an army of children are expected to turn out for the treasure hunt and to make sure the big green monster doesn’t steal Christmas.
Santy’s magical grotto will also be open from 6pm to 9pm and the Breaffy NS choir will be singing Christmas songs from 6:30pm to 8pm on the bandstand.
A terrific day is in store, with the atmosphere of Christmas truly coming to life in Ballina for the Frosty Salmon Festival. Wrap up in your Christmas jumpers and Santy Hats and bring all your festive cheer to the Military Quarter in the Market Square tomorrow.
