Ballina Salmon Festival to hold cracking Saturday night of colour, music and Mardi Gras on July 11th

The highlight of the Ballina Salmon Festival on the Wild Atlantic Way is undoubtedly Saturday the 11th of July which will feature a monster programme of music and entertainment all day on the streets of Ballina.

It all kicks off on the streets of the town at noon when the National Busking Competition takes place on the streets of the town. Sponsored by Supermac’s, a fantastic spectacle is in store with the winner of this competition walking away with the grand prize of 500 euro and the chance to perform on the main stage with Key West later on in the night.

The Market Square in Ballina will host the main stage where it will all kick off at 8pm. Key West will rock the stage as the headline event sponsored by Bar Square and huge crowds are expected to fill the atmospheric venue for a truly fantastic night of live entertainment.

At 10:30 pm the streets of Ballina will be awash with colour, drums, samba as fiesta festival mode really kicks in for the Mardi Gras, followed by the biggest fireworks display ever to take place in Ballina at 11.45pm near the Cathedral.
