The incredibly popular Enniscrone Surf and Turf run is back for 2017. This year’s run takes place on Saturday, October 28th 2017, and fun is at the centre of the run. Enniscrone Surf and Turf 2017 fun run gives us all the chance to get the October bank holiday weekend off to the perfect start.
With the route’s underfoot conditions ranging from pleasant to a little challenging, and a choice of routes between 3km and 5km, this adds up to an occasion to be remembered, bringing forth plenty of smiles and talking points when relaxing later. Now in its fourth year, competitors will be thrilled to hear that this year’s version will be new and improved, and the organisers are currently dreaming up new obstacles to make the course even more fun-filled!
The Enniscrone Surf and Turf 2017 fun run seeks to thrill participants who compete over the 5-kilometre route for the right to take home the John P Hannon Memorial Cup. The run has seen approximately 500 participants since its inception four years ago. The Surf and Turf’s scenic route has been extremely well received by participants as breath-taking views of the Atlantic Ocean meet runners as they make their way to the shoreline.
As each year, a signature feature of Enniscrone Surf and Turf 2017 run is that participants meet all sorts of underfoot conditions, obstacles and natural elements over the course of the route. And this provides plenty of exciting challenges to leave competitors with a smile on their face, however muddy things get!
Underfoot conditions become a little more difficult as the route continues. Competitors encounter boggy and marshy fields, and obstacles range from bog pools to streams and everything else in between. That is something that helps make the dash for the finish line even more interesting.
Above all, fun is at the centre of Enniscrone Surf and Turf 2017 run! The organisers assure all those taking part that the route, while challenging, is very negotiable. With plenty of helpers along the way, everyone is guaranteed to make it to the finish line.
The entry fees are modest at €20 for adults and €10 for youths, and organisers guarantee everyone this represents very good value for your money – just ask anyone who has taken part in recent years.
