Festivals & Events in and around Ballina

Ballina, Capital of North Mayo has a variety of events and festivals planned throughout 2013.

Family friendly festivals, music and the arts, a celebration of traditional Irish heritage, fishing on the world Famous River Moy, are just some of the events and themes planned for festivals throughout the calender of events in Ballina.

February kicked off with the start of the Fishing season on the World Famous River Moy, celebrating the fishing season, from the 1st February 2013, running throughout the spring/summer season until the end of September.

The Mayo Rally comes to Ballina over the weekend of the 9th and 10th March, with Hotel Ballina on the Foxford Road in the town, acting as the headquarters for the rally.

Followed by St Patricks Day celebrations in Ballina Town, with its annual St Patricks Day Parade including live music and entertainment occuring in bars, restaurants, hotels and the Ballina Arts Centre over the long bank holiday weekend in Ballina, Co Mayo.

Following the success of the 2012 River Moy 1/2 Marathon, we are delighted to announce the race will be taking place for the Fourth year on Saturday the 25th May 2013. Start time 10am. Entries now open.

Summer time is a great time to visit Ballina, as the entire area of North Mayo host a plethora of fantastic local family festivals throughout the North Mayo area.

Followed by the begining of the largest Community Festival in the West of Ireland,

Ballina Salmon Festival which kicks off from the 7th - 14th July. Ballina Salmon Festival is a must for Families and visitors of all tastes and ages as it features an itinerary of activites and events for all, duing the week.
