The fantastic annual family-oriented Foxford RiverFest offers a wide range of activities and entertainment for adults and children alike, and is a wonderful, warm celebration of the River Moy and the beautiful surrounding countryside of Foxford.

2018 as usual sees a jam-packed programme of free events on offer for all the family, including the return of some very popular activities and competitions from previous years, as well as many new events that have been added for 2018.

Excellent Events for all the Family at Foxford Riverfest 2018

The Festival opens on Friday 31st August with the splendid “Candles to the Sea” opening ceremony on the River Moy. Locals and visitors alike will have the chance to experience angling activities with GAIA and the Moy Trust, cookery demonstrations, falconry, Irish artisan crafts and demonstrations, talks and walks about nature and biodiversity and much more.

Children’s events feature strongly with face-painting, seed-bombing, a Lego Brickx Club, a busking competition,  arts and crafts, outdoor games, angling, primary science workshops, circus workshops with Juggle.ie, and lots more!

Each evening on the RiverFest Stage there will be live music. After the day’s festivities, why not venture into Foxford and enjoy the atmosphere in one of the many friendly pubs where live music will feature also?
