Walks for every level at Foxford Walking Festival: 3rd – 4th June

Six guided walks over two days to suit all abilities

The popular Foxford Walking Festival, organised by the Foxford Ramblers Walking Club returns for a sixth year, after a short break.

Foxford is a beautifully scenic area, renowned for its great walking trails, and this festival celebrates one of the West of Ireland’s most wonderful assets – the great outdoors. Indeed, the area is lucky enough to boast a great waymarked walking trail circling the town – the 86km Foxford Way. The trail takes in the Ox Mountains, roads, bogland, archaeological sites, lakeshores, and river banks and  forms the basis for many walks in the area.

And what better way to celebrate this fantastic landscape than by holding a walking festival?

Foxford Walking Festival Programme

Over the two days, six walks in total will take place with a range of short/family friendly, moderate and hard walks available. On these walks, you’ll get to meet new people, see this beautiful area from a new perspective, learn about the native flora and fauna and you’ll even get to enjoy lakeside picnics.
