Mistletoe Market comes to town next Thursday December 18th in the Military Quarter, Ballina
The Mistletoe Market will open at Ballina’s Frosty Salmon Festival on Thursday 18th of December at 2pm in the picturesque Military Quarter Ballina. The market will be opened by Bishop John Fleming and the brass band in anticipation of the foodie extravaganza that will take place later in the evening at 6pm. From local crafts and food produce to creative gift ideas and a festive, cheerful atmosphere, the Mistletoe Market is one of the most highly anticipated events on the Frosty Salmon Festival Calendar.
The market will run until Sunday the 21st of December there is still time for your stall or table to be included in the winter wonderland. All proceeds from the event will go towards the St. Muredach’s Church Restoration Fund and anyone who wants to set up a stall is urged to contact the Ballina Parish office at (096- 70555) between 9am and 6pm. Don’t forget there is also free parking in all town car parks throughout the Christmas period.
The fun and festive Grinch Hunt will also take place on Thursday the 18th of December and will begin at the Market Square at 7pm while the choir x-factor competition will be running throughout the town as well as the Christmas Cracker Loyalty Giveaway where over €10,000 in vouchers and gift cards are up for grabs for local shoppers. Come help chase the ugly green Grinch out of town before he steals Christmas and get involved in all the Frosty Salmon celebrations and festivities.
IMC in Ballina are also showcasing the newest Christmas movie “Get Santa” which will premiere on Saturday afternoon, December 13th at 3.30pm. Come see the hottest movie of the Christmas period with Mrs Claus and her elves and enjoy all the fun and festivities of Christmas on the big screen. All ticket sales will be going to Childline, all the more reason to get out and witness this fantastic charity screening.
