For those who missed the stunning recent Nationwide programme which explored the history of the North Mayo region, you can now check it out on RTÉ Player. It’s wonderful to see North Mayo on Nationwide, and the programme focuses on the region’s prime position along the new Wild Atlantic Way coastal route and charts the recent growth in popularity of the region, nationally and internationally.
The programme features Dr. Seamus Caulfield, who was instrumental in developing the incredible Ceide Fields into the global attraction it is today, highlighting this vast area of coastline with its history of civilisation that pre-dates the Pyramids.
