The 2018 River Moy Half Marathon Ballina takes place on Saturday 19th May in Ballina, starting from and finishing at Ballina Rugby Club on Creggs Road.

One of the most scenic and enjoyable running events in the West of Ireland, taking in stunning river views and the magnificent Belleek Woods, this is a great day out, not to be missed by runners everywhere.

As always, there is sure to be a fantastic atmosphere in Ballina, as family members, friends and supporters take to the streets to cheer on competitors throughout the scenic course.

The River Moy Half Marathon Ballina route is relatively and pleasantly flat with just a few challenging hills along the way. Most of the half-marathon will be run on  on either side of the banks of the beautiful River Moy. A mile of the course will take participants through the magnificent Belleek Woods where there is an excellent trail surface. The woods is used daily by local runners and walkers in all types of weather.

The River Moy Half Marathon Ballina has succeeded in building a strong reputation in recent years for its excellent organisation and enjoyable route.  The event is open to entrants aged 18 and over, and entries are filling fast! Best of all, it’s a lovely flat route, so if you’re aiming for a half-marathon personal best, Ballina is the place to be!

Race Start: 10am (walkers start at 9:15am).


Entry is €30 until April 10th.

From April 10th – May 11th, entry is €35.

Late Entries €45 (here will be a late entry fee from 5pm on May 11th to encourage people to sign up online before race day. Also please be aware that late entries are not guaranteed a technical top.)
