The Broken Jug is located in the heart of Ballina across from the Post Office, and opens at 12 noon daily, serving fine food, coffee and beverages in a wonderful atmosphere at affordable prices.
The Broken Jug offers a carvery menu, and an ample bar food menu is served from early evening until 9pm. The menus offer a variety of dishes taking into account all dietary requirements and tastes.
Mary’s enthusiastic team is passionate about using fresh Irish produce and ingredients to serve great, flavoursome Irish food. The Broken Jug takes pride in sourcing these ingredients locally and serves a variety of starters, main courses and desserts.
The atmospheric building was a hotel in its founding time, and was renovated using furniture from a church as the feature for the main bar. This contributes greatly to the character of the bar. It is hugely popular with locals and tourist alike, and is renowned as the best place in town to catch a match on the big screen, or fill up on a tasty Sunday carvery lunch. Its infectious atmosphere is the main reason for making this place so popular for sporting fanatics.
As well as the great food, the nightlife at The Broken Jug makes it one of the most popular places in the town, famous with the ladies for their Strawberry Daiquiri’s and large selection of bottle and draft beers for the gentlemen. There is a large car park at the rear of the building and the bar is wheelchair accessible.
