The Frosty Salmon festival continues its bumper holiday events calendar with another weekend of festive fun at the Military Quarter in the Market Square this Friday to Sunday, following the incredible Santa’s arrival party on Sunday the 6th at the Jackie Clarke Collection.
Santa was met with a fanfare welcome as he descended upon Ballina’s Jackie Clarke Collection for the launch of the Frosty Salmon Festival. In a blizzard of tinsel and candy canes, the procession made its way through the town with Santa heading the parade towards the enchanting Santa’s Grotto at the Military Quarter in the Market Square where he has set up shop.
The Grotto is open 5 – 7pm on Fridays and 12 – 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The committee have transformed the iconic Military Barracks into a winter wonderland with the help of Santa and his elves. Come along and meet some of your favourite characters and explore the winding walkways and wintery scenes. The Festival will also play host to a kiddies Christmas train in the Military Quarter on Saturdays and Sundays.
On Sunday the 13th a special European Style Mistletoe Market will serve up some amazing, festive arts and crafts and provide a feast for the senses as we countdown to the Christmas holidays.
The festival also boasts a massive €10,000 Christmas Cracker Loyalty giveaway in the town which celebrates the entire business community of Ballina and rewards shoppers who shop locally this Christmas.
This year’s Frosty Salmon Festival is set to be the highlight of the Christmas calendar and is not to be missed if you and your family are pining for the evergreen scented, stocking stuffing holiday that is Christmas.
