Day One:sup

Explore the enchanted Belleek Woods: Begin your adventure with a cycle through the fascinating Belleek Woods which features some fantastic trails. There are many historical features from bygone days to unearth including a hermitage site, Knox-Gore Monument also known as “The Horse’s Grave”, the ominous concrete boat and an extraordinary wall built during the famine in Ireland.

Stand-up paddle boarding on the River Moy with Harbour Sup n’ Sail: Stand-up paddle boarding is a fast-growing sport which combines a surfboard and a long one-handed paddle. It’s a traditional Hawaiian sport which promotes balance, strength and general fitness. It’s excellent for surfers and non-surfers alike and a fantastic way to explore the stunning natural landscapes of Mayo and the internationally renowned river Moy from a different angle. Harbour Sup n’ Sail is a dedicated stand-up paddle boarding provider and all instructors are ASI/ ISA qualified.

Day Two:Surf

Surf the Waves at Enniscrone: Mayo is one of several surfing meccas along the Wild Atlantic Way with waves that welcome the amateur surfer as well as the experts. The Salmon Capital of Ireland, Ballina acts as a fantastic gateway to several of the area’s most popular surfing locations. Only a 10 minute drive away, Enniscrone is a town that has in recent years built up a strong reputation as a surfing destination for beginners and enthusiasts alike. There are a number of surfing schools that offer all the equipment and support needed for a day on the waves.

 

Kayak the Moy River and Killala Bay: Mayo North has a flood of outstanding kayaking spots to explore. Kayak along the world-renowned river Moy in Ballina with the town’s iconic cathedral as your backdrop.
