Architecture at the Edge - 20th - 21st October - Visit North Mayo

Architecture at the Edge (AATE) is a weekend-long celebration of exceptional architecture in the West of Ireland. This interesting festival takes place on Saturday, 20th and Sunday 21st October throughout counties Galway and Mayo and features a fascinating series of talks, tours, workshops and exhibitions, inviting people of all ages and interest to explore the built environment of their local city and county.

Showcasing some of the West of Ireland’s most outstanding architectural features, this event offers a rare and exciting opportunity to access and explore some of the hidden architectural gems within counties Galway and Mayo including Clare Island Tower House, Enniscoe House, St Mary’s Church, Ardamullivan Tower, Oranmore Castle and Clonfert Cathedral.

Join a team of expert guides as they take you on a tour of homes, buildings and spaces that are typically off limits. Architecture at the Edge will encourage a lively debate on standards of urban design, planning and sustainability through public engagement in a variety of events.
