Mayo County Council is delighted that the Home To Mayo Festival 2022, a Mayo Tourism and diaspora connection initiative has been selected to be part of the Global Irish Festival Series – a joint initiative between Fáilte Ireland and the Department of Foreign Affairs, supported by and in conjunction with Ballina.ie & Ballina Chamber of Commerce & Mayo North Tourism.
The Home to Mayo festival will see a series of events running throughout the month of May 2022 incorporating existing festivals along with participatory experiences across towns in the county, and in particular Ballina-Home to Mayo, running over the weekend of 27th, 28th & 29th May 2022.
Ballina and North Mayo have a global diaspora network that is second to none on this island. This campaign will welcome the return of our diaspora to Mayo where they can enjoy a series of interesting and thoughtful events and initiatives that will resonate strongly with them and with all Mayo people at home and abroad.
