Ballina Salmon Festival - 7th - 13th July 2019 - Visit North Mayo

Now in its 55th year, the 2019 Ballina Salmon Festival runs from Sunday 7th – Sunday 13th July. The festival programme as always will include some new and exciting additions, as well as some old, beloved favourites.

The West of Ireland’s biggest community festival, Ballina Salmon Festival will deliver a line-up of events that will bring the streets alive with live music, street theatre, art, food, heritage, sports, fishing and exhibitions – a mix of culture and craic that is unrivalled anywhere in the region.

You’ll be able to enjoy lots of old favourites, along with a great programme of ancillary events and fun for all the family. The Children’s Events programme has almost become a festival in itself with over 50 events for children held in various locations throughout the town, including the Teddy Bear’s Picnic which this year is scheduled to open the festival on Sunday, July 7.

The sheer variety of events on offer is a  testament to the work of many passionate, dedicated volunteers over many years, and Ballina Salmon Festival is the oldest festival along the Wild Atlantic Way and one of the largest community-run festivals in Ireland.

The Ballina Salmon Festival 2019 will once again be one of the most vibrant celebrations of community, culture and craic along the Wild Atlantic Way, and we’ll have more info for you on the programme of events very soon.
