Join the Attymass History and Heritage Group for a special commemorative community walk along the historic Bearna na gCorp (“Gap of the Bodies”), a poignant famine pathway once used to carry victims of the Great Famine to their final resting place in Bonnifinglas Graveyard.
This guided walk offers an opportunity to reflect on an important chapter of local history while experiencing the natural beauty and heritage of the Attymass countryside.
The walk will begin at Mullahowney Bridge and continue through Ballycong onto the woodland path leading to Bonnifinglas Graveyard, where prayers will be held at the famine graves.
