A celebration of short film shot on smartphone will take place this October as part of the Ballina Fringe Festival. Now in it’s 8th year, Ballina Fringe Festival is a celebration of word, film, art, music and community in the north west of Ireland.
As part of the film festival we are inviting film makers from around the world who create short films on smartphones to submit entries from 1 to 10 minutes on the subject of ‘Storytelling’. Open to film makers of all ages and nationalities, from first time to professionals as long as your film is shot entirely on a smartphone, our vision is to create a a level playing field for film makers where talent, quality and creativity are paramount and stories from around the world and backgrounds are told.
Ballina Film festival will take place as part of Ballina Fringe festival between October 3rd and 12th 2025 in Ballina, County Mayo, Ireland.Awards & Prizes
3 prizes will be awarded.
Rules & Terms
To enter, your film must be entirely shot entirely on a smartphone or any mobile device. eg. Iphone, Samsung, Ipad, Oppo, Huawei, Google pixel, tablet ect
Films should be 1 – 10 minutes long.
All scripts and ideas must be original.
