Châñt Élečtrónïqùe is an international collective of producers and singers who explore the potentialities of traditional music and electronics. Coming from Portugal, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France and Ireland, they first met in Portugal in 2019 for a collective rumination on transitioning the boundaries of their own individual cultural heritage.
The group’s debut album “çhâñt élečtrónïqùe vol. 1” was released in November 2020 on London based independent label Rika Muzika and sees them combining ancient polyphonic singing traditions with synth and computer/analog based electronic patterns and textures.
Châñt Élečtrónïqùe have toured in Croatia (July 2021) to promote their first album and embarked ontheir second tour in Portugal in October 2021 playing dates in Porto, Lisbon and Viseu.
Their performances also featured unreleased songs from their second album, already in the making, due to be released in 2023.
As trâditioñál musicians they are interested in the potential of élečtroñics to open new doors to discover new ways for us to exist, to reveal new places to meet each other
