Emer Dunne will be in the Ballina Arts Centre Saturday 30th September.
Emer Dunne along with her musicians will hit the stage in Ballina Arts Centre as part of her Autumn Tour ‘Folk Threads’. After a successful show in Áras Inis Gluaire in Belmullet last March, Emer and her musicians will bring a fantastic new folk show that ties the threads of Irish, Scottish, English and American folk music together. Emer will perform some of the timeless and meaningful songs such as ‘Sweet Sixteen’ and ‘Grace’ and along with some lively contemporary folk numbers
Heres a little bit about Emer is a folk singer from Laois, who has been making a name for herself in Ireland over the past couple of years since the release of her debut album, ‘Hourglass’. She got back to the stage in the Spring of ‘22 with her ‘Hourglass Tour’ where she reached some theatres and venues around the country. So far in 2023 Emer has been invited on tour with folk legends, The Fureys. Emer has performed for Japanese and American Ambassadors, featured on the RTE Today show with Daithi and Maura.
