A cultural and interactive experience at Hennigans Heritage Farm. Food: They will tell all about traditional food and then taste, brown bread and other food on an open fire.
Swinford’s name in Irish relates to the town of the pigs, so we’ll have a pig on a spit because as the saying goes “Is é Béal Átha na muice ata ar muin na muice”, when you come to Swinford you’re on the pigs back. So let’s start out events on the pigs back!
World renowned musicians, singers, dancers and storytellers will preform, with participation from guests. They will be taught dances like shoe the donkey, stack of barley and siege of Ennis.
Evening closes with an Irish coffee with Mayo whiskey from Connacht Distillery.
