You are invited to attend the official launch of the Ballina Autism Friendly Town “Light It Up” project, taking place in celebration of World Autism Month.
This unique light-based art project will showcase a digital projection of artwork and poetry created by the Autistic adult community in Ballina.
The event will take place on Thursday 2nd April, beginning at 7:30pm with refreshments in the Jackie Clarke Collection, followed by the official launch at 8:15pm. We will illuminate the art installation across to the old Mineral Water Company building as a visible expression of support for the Autistic community, and to promote greater awareness, inclusion and acceptance.
The installation will be displayed nightly throughout the month of April
The project has been developed under the guidance of artist Alice Dixon, in collaboration with the North Mayo UBU Youth Project.
