Friday 30 October – Sunday 1 November | Newport, Mulranny & Ballycroy Co. Mayo
Look to the skies this October Bank Holiday weekend as the Mayo Dark Sky Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary with three nights of astronomy, nature, music, culture and night-sky experiences across Newport, Mulranny and Ballycroy.
The festival celebrates Mayo’s pristine night skies with a packed programme featuring stargazing, expert talks, guided walks, planetarium shows, live music, biodiversity events and family-friendly experiences.
With this year’s theme centred on connection between sky and earth, science and art, community and cosmos, the festival offers plenty of opportunities to discover the night sky and experience the landscape after dark.
The Mayo Dark Sky Festival was also the winner of the Mayo County Council Cathaoirleach’s Award for Best Festival 2025.
Whether you’re passionate about astronomy or simply looking for something different to experience this autumn, the Mayo Dark Sky Festival offers three nights of events across some of North Mayo’s most spectacular landscapes.
