Mayo Military Heroes
The Organisation of National Ex-service personnel Óglaigh na hÉireann Náisiúnta presents a seminar in the National Museum of Ireland at Turlough Park on Mayo’s Military Heroes at home and abroad. Mayo heroes who fought for Irish independence and those who served in overseas forces throughout the ages.
Also, a veteran of the Siege of Jadotville, Captain Noel Carey will tell the story of this battle and what actually happened. Military vehicles will be on display. Foxford Brass and Reed Band will entertain from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. Admission is free but booking is essential if you want to attend the talks.
