Meadowtation - Visit North Mayo

Meadowtation

|||::

Inspired by Irish Philosopher John Moriarty’s love of bog and meadow, Derval has designed a site-specific yoga nidra practice of deep relaxation and meditation, that she calls Meadowtation.

Derval will lead participants on a short guided walk, where our wild wandering will be interspersed with guided breath breaks and qigong-based gentle movement practices, to embody the elements, the meadow, and the bog.

Following the walk we will retire to a private room in Ballycroy Visitor Centre to practice radical rest, where we’ll celebrate nature’s rhythm and take time to rest and recover, attuned to the energy of Wild Nephin.

Derval will guide participants to the threshold between waking and sleeping. Science calls this space the creative sweetspot, because in this space creativity increases threefold.

Our Meadowtation session will finish with a simple creative integration and reflection, using breath and natural rhythm.
