Experience a week of music, song, dance and culture in the historic town of Killala along the breathtaking Wild Atlantic Way at The North Mayo Summer School of Irish Traditional Music, Song & Sean Nós Dance.
Taking place from Monday 6th July to Friday 10th July 2026, the Summer School welcomes participants of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners taking their very first steps in traditional music to experienced players looking to develop their skills and immerse themselves in a week of learning and performance.
Whether you have always wanted to learn a traditional instrument, improve your playing, discover the art of Sean Nós singing or dancing, or simply enjoy the atmosphere of a vibrant musical community, this Summer School offers the perfect opportunity. Participants will learn from a team of expert tutors in a friendly and supportive environment while enjoying one of Ireland’s most scenic coastal locations.
Set against the backdrop of North Mayo’s rich musical heritage, the week promises inspiring classes, new friendships, memorable sessions, and a true celebration of Irish traditional culture.
