Poetry Town
Back in July Poetry Ireland announced details of Poetry Town, a new all-island initiative, which will see more than a hundred FREE poetry-related activities take place in 20 towns across the island of Ireland between 10th and 18th September 2021. Along with local authority Arts offices, a Poet Laureate was appointed to each town participating.
Poetry Town Belmullet
Anne Walsh Donnelly was appointed Poet Laureate for Belmullet, Co. Mayo. Originally from County Carlow, Anne now lives in County Mayo. Anne was appointed to write a poem honouring and reflecting Belmullet and its people.

Poetry Unveiling of Poetry in Shop Windows: 10th September, 10:00am
15 businesses in Belmullet town have selected their favourite poems and these will be on display in their windows from 10th -18th September.
