Go on a frightfully fun adventure this Midterm Break with the Scary Objects Halloween Trail at the National Museum of Ireland – Turlough Park, running from 12noon on Saturday, 25 October to 4pm on Sunday, 2 November 2025.
Pick up a free activity sheet at Museum Reception and see if you can find the scary Halloween masks hiding throughout the exhibitions. Then, round off your object hunt with a visit to the Samhain display to learn about the origins, customs, and traditions of Halloween — and discover how many of today’s spooky celebrations began with our Celtic ancestors long ago.
When you’ve completed your hunt, bring your finished activity sheet to Museum Reception to be entered into a free draw for a spooktastic Halloween hamper!
Scary Objects is a free, self-guided trail designed especially for families, and is suitable for children aged three to ten years. Drop in any time throughout the Midterm break — no booking required.
Admission: Free family event
