The Swinford Síamsa Sráide Street Festival is making a grand return this year, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever before! Celebrating its 40th year, this lively festival of music, arts, sports, and fun will take place from August 2nd to August 7th, 2024. Attendees can look forward to an expanded line-up of events and activities, ensuring a memorable experience for all. With a rich history of bringing the community together, this year’s festival aims to surpass all expectations, offering an even more vibrant and exciting atmosphere.

Friday 2nd
Official opening at The Gateway Hotel, celebrating 40 years of the festival. With original founding members and snapshots of past events through stories, images and archival display.
Saturday 3rd
- Swinford indoor market
- Irish premier of multi-award winning documentary We’re Not Making Gone With The Wind
- Family fun day at Robert Mc Callion Memorial Park
- Céílí do dhéagóirí (youth ceili) in the cultural centre
- Time to Shine talent contest in Juliens of Midfield
Sunday 4th
- Seisiún Ceoil Na NÓG in The White House
- Children’s entertainment in the Cultural centre
- Bláth na Féíle contest in The Gateway Hotel (CANCELLED)
- Lovefest 24 in The White House
- Free open air music on the main stage
Monday 5th
- Historic walk & talk of Swinford starting at The Gateway Hotel
- Family fun cycle, starts at Swinford Garda Station
- Fun on Chapel St
- Exhibition: “The Revolutionary Women of East Mayo and South Sligo 1918 – 1923” in Swinford N.S.
- Meet the Diaspora in The Gateway Hotel
- The Wizard of Oz in The Cultural Centre
- Cemetery Mass – Kilconduff
- Historical pageant: “Meidhir Mhaigh Eo” (“The Humors of Mayo”) in The Swinford Cultural Centre

Tuesday 6th
Heritage, craft, emigrants and enterprise day. Period, fun & fancy dress theme, with stalls, drama and free open air music throughout the day
Wednesday 7th
Old Harvest Fair Day, street stalls, drama and free open air music.
