The Scranton Fringe Festival is honored to announce an exciting new cultural exchange with the Ballina Arts Centre and we invite you to two shows in one Remember You Must Die and Ulysses of Scranton this October. €25 for both shows.
@7pm Remember You Must Die is a comedy written and performed by Maureen McGuiganDeath is probably the most taboo subject in our society and is rarely discussed enough, but the only sure thing in life is that we will die. In this one-woman show, Maureen McGuigan uses humor to tell a story based on her struggles with this topic. Directed by Alicia Grega and featuring projection and music by Jason Smeltzer, this original work premiered at the 2023 Scranton Fringe Festival. Did you ever suddenly freak out because you realized there is a skull beneath your skin? If you have – this show might be for you!
@ 8.30pm Ulysses of Scranton is a loose, loving adaptation of James Joyce’s classic novel, transposed to the streets and stories of Scranton. Directed and co-written by Conor Kelly O’Brien, the co-founder and executive director of Scranton Fringe, the production weaves the core elements of Joyce’s narrative with the unique cultural tapestry of northeast Pennsylvania.
