First Screening of Special Mayo Film 'All Our Yesterdays' - Visit North Mayo

Have you ever wondered what life was really like in Swinford during Ireland’s most transformative eras? This weekend, as part of the Féile Na Samhna celebrations, Swinford will host the much-anticipated launch of All Our Yesterdays, a powerful documentary that delves deep into the town’s rich history. The screening will take place on Saturday, October 26, at 7 p.m. in the Gateway Hotel, and tickets are limited.

The documentary, created by local filmmaker Breege Rowley, tells the story of Swinford through its own people, featuring rare, unearthed archives and personal stories that bring the past to life. From Swinford’s struggle during the Penal Laws to its evolution into the vibrant community it is today, the film is a true reflection of Irish resilience, told with music from Swinford Comhaltas and the late Conor Walsh. It is a project that holds a special place in the hearts of Swinford’s Diaspora and those with ties to the area.
