National Proclamation Day (15th March)
Have you ever read the Proclamation? Have you ever seen a rare original Proclamation from the Easter Rising? If not then National Proclamation Day is the perfect day to visit the Jackie Clarke Collection and read an original Proclamation right here in Co. Mayo. On Tuesday the 15th of March, from 10am-5pm come view Jackie’s “Holy Grail” to mark the occasion, and take a tour of the fantastic 1916 Collection.
Official Launch of 1916 Exhibition (23rd March 2016)
On the 23rd of March from 6.30pm the Jackie Clarke Collection will be launching their 1916 exhibition. Brigadier General James Connolly, grandson of signatory James Connolly will be the guest of honour on the evening. All are welcome to attend.
Easter 1916 celebration (27th – 28th March)
From Sunday the 27th to Monday the 28th, the Jackie Clarke Collection will host a special two day Easter 1916 celebration. The Collection will be open from 2pm-5pm to mark the anniversary of the Easter Rising. Make sure you attend this very special, once in a lifetime event! Admission is free.
Historic Easter (24th – 25th April)
On Sunday and Monday the 24th and 25th of April, to mark historic Easter, the Jackie Clarke Collection will extend their opening hours for a very special historic Easter celebration. The Jackie Clarke Collection’s 1916 celebrations mean the Collection will be open on Sunday 24th April from 2pm-5pm and Monday 25th April 2pm-5pm. This free event will host the biggest exhibition of 1916 material on show outside of Dublin, and it is an absolute must-see, so make sure you visit the Collection.
