St. Bridget’s Church, Ballycastle present award-winning country singer James Kilbane with his Christmas evening of music and song on Sunday 15th December at 7 pm.  This seasonal evening is being staged to help with the costs for needed renovation work at St. Bridget’s Church.

Built-in the 1930’s St. Bridget’s continues to be an important focus point for the local community in Ballycastle and the surrounding areas.  This is the first time that any major refurbishment work has had to be undertaken.

Country singer James Kilbane is no stranger to home audiences.  Kilbane is known for his honest and homegrown music style.  What you see is what you get.  Recently awarded ‘Irish Gospel Singer 2019’ by Irish Entertainment Awards, Kilbane’s sound continues to be popular with music lovers across the country as well as abroad.  There is something for everyone in Kilbane’s events and Ballycastle will be no different.

Kilbane notes ‘I’m so looking forward to returning to North Mayo and Ballycastle to sing.  Christmas is such a special time.  A time for home, family, and community. Singing for St. Bridget’s is so important and the work they need to do to fundraise for their church.  Important work is needed, all part of our Irish life and community’.

Kilbane continues to work hard at his craft and television has played an important part in his career from his start on ‘You’re A Star’, featuring over the years on several American television channels, religious stations as EWTN and recently on Shalom TV broadcasting to 350 million viewers worldwide.  In recent years Kilbane has been involved with the production of several RTÉ Christian broadcasts promoting Country Gospel music.
