Mayo Arts Service hosts festival workshops

Information available on sustainability and succession planning

Mayo Arts Service

Mayo Arts Service is hosting a ‘Festival Sustainability – Information Session and Clinics for Festivals’ event from 10am to 5pm on Wednesday, October 2nd in Lough Lannagh Leisure Complex.

Mayo County Council Arts Service is encouraging organisers and committee members of the vast and diverse array of festivals, held annually in the county, to attend. You will receive valuable advice and information from industry experts and national organisations on funding, festival sustainability and succession planning. The day will include a half-day workshop plus one-on-one clinics afterwards.

Throughout the morning presentations will take place from Mayo Arts Office, The Arts Council of Ireland, Creative Ireland and AOIFE, providing information on Mayo County Council Arts Acts, Municipal District Discretionary Funding, Creative Ireland and Arts Council Festival Funding.  Additionally, advice will be offered on what is required of you, as a festival organiser or committee member, to ensure best practice on succession planning.

This informative day will provide you with the necessary tools to put your best foot pitch forward to access funding and to develop and sustain your events.
