A vibrant multi-instrumental treat with four of Ireland's finest musicians

It is with great pleasure that we look forward to an evening of music in the company of The Modern Irish Quartet at Ballina Arts Centre on Friday 4th August, 8pm.

The Modern Irish Quartet, a collaboration between four great musicians, has been greeted with non-stop acclaim and increasing audiences since its inception in 2012.  Audiences can look forward to something truly vibrant and special on this evening of rich music in Ballina.

The Modern Irish Quartet at Ballina Arts Centre – collaboration between four greats

Formed in 2012 by American Vibraphone player Tony Miceli and Irish drummer John Daly, this group features one of Ireland’s finest saxophone players, Michael Buckley, along with one of the most in demand Bassists in jazz circles in Ireland, Dave Redmond.

In Ballina, their exciting programme will explore Irish and international folk tunes. It will also include some original material written by Tony.

A gem of a gig guaranteed – musicians transmit their love of the music

This collaboration between four great musicians, Vibraphone player Tony Miceli, John Daly on drums, bassist Dave Redmond and Micheal Buckley on saxophone, guarantees a gem of a gig.

The audience can expect an evening of phenomenal music by The Modern Irish Quartet, who bring the feel and love of the music to the listeners.


All indications point to a rare musical treat when four experienced, passionate musicians come together in their different instrumental specialties to display their joy in their music in our company.
