Sensational line-up, including Sharon Shannon and Beyond the Barricade, announced for Night under the Stars concert.
Ballina’s Military Barracks will host a night to remember this Saturday 22 August as the venue transforms into a live, open-air carnival scene.
The night will feature music from Beyond the Barricade, a musical phenomenon featuring show stopping classics from Les Miserables, Ar Maen Du (The Black Stone), a captivating traditional Breton group and Irish sensation and headline act Sharon Shannon.
As part of the town’s French Ballina festival which runs from the 22nd to the 23rd of August, Saturday’s event will draw on a distinctly French theme. Food stalls will serve up delicious French and Irish delicacies which event goers can savour amidst the backdrop of the historic military barracks.
Following on from the huge success of the Humbert’s Festival last year, French Ballina 2015 looks to celebrate the cultural and historical connections between Ireland and France through film, theatre, music and the physical transformation of some of the town’s streets.
Saturday’s event will kick-off at 6:30pm. Tickets are €10 and children under 12 go free. You can purchase your tickets from the Ballina Tourist Office located on Pearse Street.
