About Noo Chocolates
Noo Chocolates is owned by Mary and Damien Corrigan. The company name is inspired by Mary, who was known as “Noo” to her family while growing up.
The business officially came to life in December 2017, following many years of chocolate obsession. The journey began in 2011 after receiving a gift of a chocolate workshop , which immediately led the owners to purchase equipment and begin making small batches. After six years of perfecting techniques and flavours with family and friends as tasters , the opportunity arose in 2017 to set up the business.
In ‘The People and Places of North Mayo’ video series we discover Mary’s journey, how a chocolate-making course was the inspiration to set her on a path to open her own business, creating products she feels so passionately about.
Commitment to Ingredients
Noo Chocolates incorporates products from many small, passionate artisan producers located within the county. Fresh Irish cream and butter are also added to bring luxury to the unique flavours. The chocolate base is high quality couverture Belgian chocolate, sourced through the sustainable Cocoa Horizons programme, and specially selected to showcase the internal flavours.
