St. Patrick's Festival of Lights, Crossmolina - 15th - 17th March 2019 - Visit North Mayo

Crossmolina in Co. Mayo will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day once again this year with the spectacular St. Patrick’s Festival of Lights Crossmolina, with some new events in this year’s calendar! Probably the most original and fun St. Patrick’s Day festival in the country, this is a weekend you won’t want to miss.

Electric Light Parade

Last year’s Electric Light Parade was the first of its kind in Ireland, and despite inclement weather conditions really captured the imagination of participants and spectators alike. The event is sure to attract interest once again from all over the country and beyond.

The illuminations spectacular will be part of the St. Patrick’s Festival Of Lights and the parade will take place at 7:30pm on St. Patrick’s Day, 17th March.

The parade will consist of traditional type floats, also cars, tractors, trucks, buses etc alongside marching bands and children from the local schools – all lit up in a dazzling array of colour.  The town of Crossmolina itself will be decorated in a selection of lights and effects for the occasion.

The 2017 St. Patrick’s Electric Light Parade was even shortlisted for the All Ireland Community & Council Awards!
