The Father Peyton Memorial Centre, situated in scenic Attymass not far from Ballina, commemorates Father Patrick Peyton, the “Rosary Priest”.
The Father Peyton Centre is an oasis of tranquility and a respite of prayer and peace. It is situated in scenic Attymass,10 minutes from Ballina. The Centre which also offers accommodation is dedicated to telling the fascinating story of Venerable Father Patrick Peyton, CSC. It does this through archival video footage, memorabilia and guided tours.
Hear stories from his humble beginnings on the family farm in Carracastle, Attymass to his life travelling the globe promoting his message of Peace and Family Unity. Discover how the stars of the time, Bing Crosby, James Stewart and Maureen O’Hara, to name but a few put their considerable star power behind him and his crusade.

Known firstly as “The Rosary Priest” but also as the “Priest to the Stars”, find out how George Lucas, James Dean and many struggling actors and directors, who became household names were given their first credits with Family Theatre Productions and Father Patrick Peyton.

The Centre boasts a dining room with scones and apple tart that are definitely worth a return visit. It has a gift shop and beautifully landscaped gardens which have been officially dedicated to peace in Ireland.
On December 18, 2017, Pope Francis declared Father Patrick Peyton, C.S.C. as “Venerable”. This is commonly regarded as the first step on the road to sainthood.
The Centre plays host to lots of community events, including the annual ‘Seisiún’. This is big trad session that takes place every week in July & August.
The Melody Residence – Accommodation
The Melody Residence at the Fr. Peyton Centre is a place of prayer and peace. Situated at the foot of the Ox Mountains, surrounded by beautiful lake and scenery this is the ideal place to take some time for yourself.
Accommodation is available in seven en-suite bedrooms, one double, three twin and three singles. All of which are fully wheelchair accessible with access to kitchenette and dining room. If you are booking a stay we suggest that you bring walking shoes. This is the starting point of some beautiful loop walks. Rooms are available for €110 (subject to change).
