The FOXFORD Experience
In 1892, Mother Agnes Morrough-Bernard stood on a bridge overlooking the River Moy in Foxford, Co Mayo and contemplated a future with community and craftsmanship at its core. She established Foxford Woollen Mills as a means of improving people’s livelihood and prospects for the area.
We welcome groups and individuals to hear the unique story of the visionaries who brought more than a century of innovation and forward thinking to a rural village in the west of Ireland. See how each woven product is still created here at the Mill and learn how this thriving business has shaped the lives of the local people for generations.
