Fluid, fast-moving ink works blending painting and abstraction, drawing on landscape and informed by Chinese and Japanese aesthetic traditions.
This is one of two exhibitions during August by renowned local artist Val McLoughlin, exploring landscape, memory and contrasting approaches to mark-making.
Out Of Ink opens Thursday 6 August at 2:30pm at Ballina Library with a poetry reading by the Ox Mountain Poets, of which Val is a founding member.
